Big Girl Room Transformation. How we took this nursery and made it into an adorable big girl space!

Do you have a little girl going from a nursery to a Big Girl Room?! Those transitions can be tough and emotional, but since we can’t keep them in a crib forever…it’s also necessary!

My client Lynne was looking for a Big Girl Room Transformation, and I was SO excited to help her with this. As you know, I live in boy land over here with a husband and 2 sons. So, the thought of shopping for pink and ruffles made me so happy!!

I’m SO behind on updating some client reveals on here, so I am starting with this one in an attempt to get caught up.

The basic goal in here was to get rid of the crib/changing table and convert to a regular size bed, dresser, etc.

Beyond that it was mostly bedding, curtains a bookshelf and some décor that this room was needing. I got to work shopping and once we found the Pottery Barn Bedding set and curtains, the rest was inspired from there!

She loved the color combination of the various shades of pink with the light/mint aqua color, and so did I! The white furniture really makes these colors pop and was the perfect choice as well. The furniture came from Wayfair and you can find it here. Bed and Dresser.

And here are the afters of this new Big Girl Room! I think its perfect for a 3 year old and something she can grow with and enjoy for many years to come! I definitely got my “pink fix” and enjoyed every minute of this mini makeover! Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation Big Girl Room Transformation

One of the best parts about this project was seeing how excited the little girl was who was at the receiving end of this makeover. If a 3 year old can get excited about ruffle curtains and a fuzzy pillow, then I feel like I’ve done my job 😉

Thanks so much, Lynne for letting me help you with this project!

Until next time…

~ Stacey

Hey! Thank you!! The frames came from Kirklands and the prints inside came from an Etsy Shop called PNWGirlDesigns.
