It’s no secret I love Christmas, but if there’s one thing I really love…it’s my family. And I love creating cozy spaces where we can relax, unwind and soak up the season together.

This room is extra special because it holds our family Christmas tree! And yes, I added some cute bows this year that I’m obsessed with. But that’s not what makes this tree special.
This is the one with all the sentimental ornaments from years past. The one we decorate as a family while we play christmas music and reminisce on each ornament as we hang them.

It’s also the one with the TINIEST tree topper you ever did see! There’s a story there…
That little star is something my boys picked out YEARS ago when they were much younger and insisted on using on our big tree. Each year, they want to bring it back and it’s now become a running joke and something we all laugh at and look forward to as Anthony places it on top.

Imagine it- all the dramatics…and now for the TREE TOPPER! And bam, that little guy goes up there…haha!
As long as they want to keep using it, that’s exactly what we will do. Because it’s tradition. And because it’s their wish.
The stockings are some I ordered 14 years ago when our youngest son was born. These are the items that make Christmas so special.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Stacey room without lots of other cute decor mixed in! Baskets, trees, vignettes, garland and more!

Next up…the bookshelves! I created several cute and festive vignettes to give this a traditional Christmas feel. I even printed a family pic from last Christmas to go in a frame which I love!

For my coffee table centerpiece, I used wreath, gold bells and some other accents to create a cute look that makes a statement!

And of course…comfy pillows and throw blankets are a MUST for cozy Christmas feels! (Recognize those plaid ones from Pillow cover club last year?!)

You see, as much as I love shopping and decorating for Christmas…I love my family even more.
The truth is, I don’t just decorate to make things pretty (although that’s super fun too, let’s be honest). I do it because I want to create a space that FEELS like home…a space that invites my family to slow down, snuggle up, and make those sweet little memories that we’ll all cherish forever.

I love turning on the fireplace at night, lighting a candle that smells like Christmas, and piling up on the couches with my crew…blankets, popcorn, and all to watch a Christmas movie or catch up on a show we all love. (Yes, even if we’ve seen Elf a hundred times… and we will watch it again)

Those are the moments that matter most.
That’s what I hope this space encourages…togetherness, comfort, and memories.
I’m feeling this even more this year as this is the first year that my oldest son has been away at college, so I know I will cherish the moments together over the holidays more than ever before!
I never want to be so busy in life that I can’t slow down and enjoy the fruits of my labor. All the decorating, the crafting, the hustling and the bustling…it’s worth it, but it’s what’s on the other side of that that matters more than anything.
So while I’ll always be the girl who goes wild over a cute throw pillow or the perfect garland (guilty as charged), what I love most is knowing my home is a soft place to land for the people I care about most.

As you’re decorating this season, I hope you feel inspired not just to create a pretty space, but a meaningful one. Because at the end of the day, it’s not the tree or the mantel that makes a room magical…it’s the people gathered in it.
Behind my couch, I decorated my sofa table and I love how it’s the perfect break between the kitchen and living room with all the greens and golds!

So yes, the room is all decked out and full of cozy Christmas vibes, but it’s also filled with love and family and that is what means the most!

Hope you enjoyed this peek into our home this year and found some inspo along the way too! Let me know your favorite part!
Until next time…
Stacey
