My non-traditional fall home tour, putting my own stamp on fall decor in 2018!

Here is what I love about decorating. You get to do what YOU love and what makes your heart happy! This goes for fall or any season honestly. I definitely took my own advice to heart this fall and “broke the mold” a time or two!

You don’t have to use traditional fall colors to have a beautiful home. See how I thought outside the box to create this non traditional fall look!

I’ve been slowly transitioning away from the traditional colors of fall the past few years. I actually love the colors of the leaves changing and all the deep and rich tones of fall. However, with my more neutral (with a splash of color) home, I was really craving a change!

I will take you room by room to show you what I have done to create this non traditional fall home look. I can tell you this, no 2 rooms are exactly alike for sure! It makes me happy and I hope you love it too!

Living Room:

In here I wanted to use my buffalo check (of course)! I also was inspired by the soft muted shade of lambs ear, so I wanted to incorporate that in as well. A lot of DIY went on in here, and you can read all about that here!

Entry Way:

I wanted to keep this spot neutral for the neutral loving part of my heart! You can read more about what I did in this space here.

Dining Room:

The least traditional of all with the navy blue pumpkins, but man I love it! See what inspired me to do this here.

Front Porch:

A little bit of buffalo check and a little bit of a farmhouse vibe. This front porch turned out exactly how I wanted it to and you can read more about it here!

Are you a traditional fall girl? Or a non traditional fall girl? It’s ok if you are even a little bit of both! Again…do what makes YOU happy and your house will thank you for it 🙂

Until next time…

~ Stacey

Love your home, you are inspiring me to add neutral colors I have a question my home is decorated primitive style and I’m starting to like a lot of farm house style, would I be able to incorporate that in with primitive style

    • Stacey Collins

Absolutely!! I think it’s great to mix more than one style. Pick your “dominate” style and then add in the other as an accent and add on! Those 2 will blend great together!
