Nothing says Christmas like the traditional colors of red and green and I love to use them throughout my house at the holidays!
Come see my classic Christmas living room decor using red and green! I hope it inspires you to add some festive cheer to your home too!
I recently shared our Christmas fireplace with you here, and gave some tips for styling a fireplace that has a TV over it. But…
There’s so much more to this room to share! Let’s start with the bookshelf!
To be totally honest, this probably took me the longest to decorate out of anything in my home this year. These shelves are BIG and it took a lot of playing, moving and a little shopping to get them how I wanted.
Here’s a close up look at some of the groupings and vignettes. A combo of new, old, DIY’s and more!
We have to acknowledge the beautiful FAMILY Christmas tree! This one is full of all of our sentimental ornaments. Things the kids have made, ones from our travels, our childhoods, etc. SO SUPER SPECIAL!
You can see how I added ribbon and my topper to this tree here. I just love it all…even that tiny little silver star at the top that my boys insist on putting up there haha!
We can’t forget cute PILLOWS! And I’ve got plenty of those in this space too!
One thing I always strive for with decorating is to create cozy and comfortable spaces, and this living room does just that! It was so fun to put my touches on it for Christmas to make it even more cozy!
The view from the living room into the kitchen, eat in area and hearth room is one of my favorites! Those wood beams are just everything to me!
I hope this classic Christmas living room decor using red and green put a little smile on your face and gave you an idea or two for your own home too!
We are officially ready for Christmas over here and I can’t wait to wake up Christmas morning and enjoy our first Christmas in the new house right here in this room!
Until next time…
